Introduction

What makes a company successful in the Textiles Industry?

We have been asking this question since 2015, and we are fortunate to have worked with over 350 global companies to learn about the secret sauce.

We work with world-class businesses in the textile supply chains. Fibre makers, yarn spinners, fabric mills, garment/product manufacturers, and technology companies. From start-ups to companies with $500+ million annual turnover.

What do they all have in common?

They pioneer innovation in product and production, they understand the value of investing in brand and marketing, and they have learned that success is achieved through focus and persistence. They don't try to do it all on their own. They do what they do best and trust INQOVA with the rest.

Our story

Why Textiles? Why INQOVA?

WHY TEXTILES?
It's unlikely that we will all suddenly stop wearing clothes. Textiles date back thousands of years and is generally expected to be a continuously evolving cornerstone industry for many centuries to come.

Textiles are used in a wide range of our daily products from clothing to furniture, home, hospitality, automotive, for industrial purposes, and much more. A globally appreciated field that is balancing the art and science, functional and aesthetic, spanning from hobby craft to large-scale manufacturing.

Like many other industries, the textiles industry is dealing with a common set of challenges - lack of standardisation, little sharing of knowledge and best-practices, resistance to change, increasing complexity, volatile markets, cross-border legislation and finance, rapidly evolving technology, and so on. It is an increasingly challenging business landscape to operate in. In other words, an industry with an abundance of opportunity for positive change.

Today, with most businesses blindly following the lost herd, the opportunities for standing out and doing the right thing has never been more readily available. The business environment has also never been more complex. Many textiles-related businesses are still family-owned, built on the arts of scaling sales and production, one after the other. These businesses either manage to claim and develop a position in the market, or they wobble around in the price race until there's no margin left.

An industry this old has grown tough and stubborn. It has seen countless states of chaos, and equally countless states of glory. It's an industry where most tricks has already been tried and tested. We don't claim to hold the latest tricks up our sleeve. We study the past, to help our clients avoid making the same mistakes as those who didn't make it. We plan and execute in the present, with tactics and precision for positive impact. We envision the future, with strong principles and optimistic focus on the opportunities to do better.

INQOVA's Expertise and Talent
When you chose to work with INQOVA, you don't need to educate us on how the industry works and what type of business you are in. You can talk to us the same way you talk to your suppliers. We know the business you're in, so we can get straight to the important things.

We don't just make things look pretty and build you a website. We ask the tough questions. We leverage our expertise. We care about accountability and responsibility. We attract and retain talent that normally would not work in this industry. We share our outside perspective with you. We are an extension of your team. We focus on what's important to you and your business.

INQOVA's Service and Dedication
We are real people, with real passion. We all consider ourselves to work in the textiles industry and we are deeply interested. Most people that have joined INQOVA's team has developed a unique, often unexpected interest in specific textile categories and the underlying challenges of the industry. This is a natural milestone for everyone on our team. One that only happens in healthy relationships with mutual trust and respect.

This industry, integral to the global consumer goods market, often doesn't get the spotlight it deserves. When you work with us, you're in the spotlight and all the attention is on how we can make your world and our shared world a better place.

INQOVA's Industry Network and Reputation
The textiles industry is a small world. Everyone seems to know everyone. We don't know everyone, but we're rarely more than one referral away. While that is good for us, it's often also good for the companies we work with. You have a reputation and so do we, so we obviously both benefit from doing good work. We made a deliberate choice to specialise in textiles and we therefore naturally connect with like-minded people.

Where are we located?

In 2021, we decided to make a modern, mid-covid move to go 100% remote. We are a knowledge- and service-based business with customers all over the world. It didn't make sense that we should limit our ability to work with people to one or a few physical locations. It was the best move we could possibly make, and we have worked extremely hard to make it one of the reasons why our clients want to work with us.

Our teams are already covering most time-zones, spread across Asia, Europe and North-America. We work together as a team in the same way we work with our clients. We either meet online, we come to you, or you visit one of our studios in Copenhagen and Hong Kong. You can trust there's always at least one of us online.

INQOVA's Guiding Principles

Curiosity & Critical thinking
A wise journalist once said, "If someone says it's raining and another person says it's dry, it's not your job to quote them both. Your job is to look out the window and find out which is true." We don't always know what's right and wrong, but we are accountable and conscious of our responsibility to try our best to get it right.

Independent Decision-Making
We are a fully privately owned business with no external shareholders, investments, or debt. This independence allows us to make decisions that align with our values and the best interests of our clients. While we have many trusted external advisors, we are free from the pressure to constantly prioritize profit over purpose.

In the Business of Doing Good
When your business is driven by the goal of doing good rather than making as much money as possible, it becomes harder for others to compete against you on these grounds. If someone can do more good than us, we welcome it. We believe in collaboration over competition to maximize positive impact.

Long-Term Vision Over Short-Term Gains
We prioritise sustainable growth and long-term success over short-term gains. Our decisions are guided by a vision for the future that values enduring relationships, continuous improvement, and lasting impact.

Commitment to Excellence
We strive for excellence in everything we do. From the quality of our services to the way we interact with clients and colleagues, we aim to exceed expectations and set new standards in the textile industry.

Integrity and Transparency
We believe in conducting our business with integrity and transparency. Honesty and openness are the foundations of our relationships with clients, partners, and employees. We are committed to building trust through ethical practices and clear communication.

Respect for People and the Planet
We respect and value the people we work with and the environment we operate in. Our practices are designed to promote fairness, diversity, and sustainability, ensuring that we contribute positively to the world around us.
